First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tested whether an augmented reality tool (a phone app that shows 3D images) could help heart patients understand their discharge instructions better than the usual paper report. About 300 adults with heart conditions like heart attack or heart failure took part. The goal was to see if the tool improved how well patients followed their treatment plan and reduced future heart problems.
