NCT ID NCT05658367

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether a gentle arm massage with sesame-lavender oil can reduce acute pain and anxiety in women after mastectomy surgery. 90 women were randomly assigned to receive massage with either sesame-lavender oil, plain sesame oil, or paraffin oil (a placebo). The goal was to see if the aromatherapy oil provided extra relief beyond massage alone.
