First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether supervised water exercise (aquatherapy) can improve physical performance, balance, and reduce fear of falling in people aged 65 and older who have had low back pain for more than three months. Forty-five participants will be randomly assigned to either aquatherapy or standard land-based physiotherapy for six weeks. The goal is to see if exercising in a pool offers extra benefits for strength, stability, and confidence in daily activities.
