Phone app aims to Re-Train the brain to feel joy again
NCT ID NCT07155941
Summary
This study is testing a two-week smartphone app program designed to help people who struggle to feel pleasure (anhedonia) and experience high stress, anxiety, or depression. Participants are randomly assigned to use an app with daily audio exercises focused on gratitude, positive imagery, and savoring good moments, or to an app with relaxation exercises. The goal is to see if the reward-focused training can improve people's ability to experience positive emotions and reduce their psychological distress more effectively than relaxation alone.
