First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether keeping the very tip of a tooth's root canal open during treatment helps reduce pain afterward. 72 adults with pain-free, single-rooted teeth had root canal therapy in one visit. Half had the tip kept open, half did not. Pain levels were recorded for 48 hours. The goal was to see if this simple step could make recovery more comfortable.
