Summary
This study tests whether using different nickel-titanium file systems, alone or with an XP-Endo Finisher irrigation device, can reduce pain after root canal treatment. Eighty adults with infected molars will be randomly assigned to one of four groups. Pain levels will be recorded over a week using a standard pain scale.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Nickel-titanium file systems (FKG Race Evo and One Reci) and XP-Endo Finisher irrigation device
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could point to a way to reduce pain after root canal treatment by using better cleaning tools.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with only 80 people, so results may not apply to everyone. Pain is subjective and hard to measure precisely.
