NCT ID NCT07271511

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares pain after root canal therapy done in one visit versus two visits for people with diabetes. 200 patients aged 12-60 with a single-rooted tooth needing root canal will be randomly assigned to either a single session or two sessions. The main goal is to see which approach leads to less moderate-to-severe pain 24 hours after the procedure.

What this could lead to

If one approach causes less pain, dentists may adopt it for diabetic patients, improving their comfort after root canals.
