Summary
This early-phase study tested whether a natural substance called apelin can improve how the body responds to insulin in people with type 2 diabetes. Nine adults with type 2 diabetes received apelin to measure changes in insulin sensitivity. The goal was to gather initial data, not to provide a treatment.
