First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether taking antibiotics before a procedure to treat stress urinary incontinence (leaking urine with cough or sneeze) can lower the chance of getting a urinary tract infection (UTI) afterward. About 138 women will receive either antibiotics or a placebo before the procedure. The goal is to see if antibiotics help prevent UTIs in the first 6 weeks after treatment.
