Uterine infection linked to infertility: antibiotics may boost pregnancy chances

NCT ID NCT07603492

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at 100 women with infertility to see how common chronic endometritis (a long-term inflammation of the womb lining) is and whether antibiotic treatment can improve their chances of getting pregnant and having a healthy baby. Participants will have a camera test and tissue sample, and if inflammation is found, they will receive antibiotics. Researchers will track fertility and pregnancy outcomes for up to a year after treatment.
