NCT ID NCT02508012

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at whether measuring the amount of anti-TNF medication and antibodies in the blood can help doctors make better treatment decisions for people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. About 260 patients were split into two groups: one where doctors used these blood test results to adjust treatment, and one where they did not. The goal was to see if this monitoring approach improves quality of life and is cost-effective over two years.
