NCT ID NCT06481878

First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive way to detect Alzheimer's disease by looking for specific proteins (amyloid and tau) in stool samples. Researchers believe these proteins may travel from the brain to the gut, offering a simple diagnostic tool. The study will involve 115 adults with and without Alzheimer's to see if this method can spot the disease early, when treatment might be most effective.
