New brain imaging agent could improve Alzheimer's detection

Summary
This study tests a new radioactive tracer called 18F-Fluselenamyl for PET scans to safely detect amyloid plaques in the brain, a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will compare it to an existing tracer in 60 healthy volunteers and people with mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer's. The goal is to see if the new tracer is safe and effective for diagnosing Alzheimer's.
