Summary
This study investigated whether people with COPD have abnormal changes in their lungs during exercise that might cause shortness of breath. Researchers measured lung permeability and tissue mass in 32 participants (16 with COPD and 16 healthy controls) before and after exercise. The goal was to understand the underlying mechanisms of breathing difficulty in COPD.
