Scientists scan brains to unlock alcohol addiction mysteries

Summary
This study aims to develop and test simple computer tasks that can be used during brain scans to better understand how alcohol use disorders affect behavior, thinking, and decision-making. Researchers are recruiting 400 adults, including both healthy volunteers and people with alcohol dependence, to try these tasks inside and outside MRI scanners. The goal is to create reliable tools for future research, not to provide direct treatment benefits to participants.
