Study aims to make airway surgery safer by tracking oxygen levels
NCT ID NCT05881863
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study observes oxygen levels in the airway during rigid bronchoscopy, a procedure to treat blocked airways. Researchers will measure how long it takes for oxygen to drop to a safe level when using a special ventilator mode. The goal is to reduce the risk of airway fires during heat-based treatments. 50 adults undergoing this procedure will participate.
