First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at 35 women with early-stage breast cancer who normally wouldn't qualify for genetic testing. It compared using an artificial intelligence program for pre-test genetic counseling versus the usual in-person session. The goal was to see if AI could help more women get tested and understand their results, while also easing the shortage of genetic counselors.
