AI learns from 14,000 prostate scans to spot aggressive cancers

NCT ID NCT05384002

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study created a massive, secure database of over 14,000 prostate MRI scans from men with or suspected of having prostate cancer. Researchers used this data to train artificial intelligence (AI) models to better tell apart slow-growing from aggressive cancers, predict if cancer will come back, and find where it has spread. The goal is to help doctors make more precise decisions and avoid unnecessary treatments.
