AI and cap team up to spot hidden colon polyps
NCT ID NCT05594576
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether using an artificial intelligence system (GI GENIUS) together with a special cap (ENDOCUFF VISION) on the colonoscope helps doctors find more precancerous polyps during colonoscopy than using either tool alone. About 481 adults undergoing screening or follow-up colonoscopy took part. The goal was to see if the combination improves detection of adenomas, which are early warning signs for colorectal cancer.
