NCT ID NCT02818465
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 100 kidney dialysis patients to understand why their blood vessels get damaged, raising heart risks. Researchers measured harmful substances called AGEs in the blood and skin, and checked for genetic factors. The goal was to learn how these substances interact with a receptor called RAGE to cause vessel hardening. No new treatment was tested; this was purely an observation study.
