Experimental melanoma cocktail trial halted early
NCT ID NCT03958383
First seen Jun 13, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 13, 2026
Summary
This early-stage trial tested a combination of an experimental fusion protein (hu14.18-IL2), radiation, and two immunotherapy drugs (nivolumab and ipilimumab) in people with advanced melanoma that couldn't be surgically removed. The goal was to find the safest dose and check for side effects. The study was terminated early after enrolling only 8 participants, so results are limited.
