Online therapy aims to lift depression and protect memory in older ICU survivors

Summary

This study tests whether an internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy program, called Good Days Ahead, can reduce depression and slow memory decline in older adults who survived an ICU stay. Researchers will enroll 300 people aged 50 and older who have depressive symptoms after their ICU hospitalization. Participants will either receive the online therapy or standard care, and their cognitive function and quality of life will be tracked over time.
