First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests a new way of using deep brain stimulation (DBS) for people with Parkinson's who have walking and balance problems that standard treatments don't fix. The device adjusts stimulation in real time based on brain activity and what the person is doing (like sitting or walking). Ten participants will be monitored for safety and any improvement in their walking.
