NCT ID NCT07435610

First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether real acupuncture can reduce stomach pain and improve daily life for children aged 8-17 with disorders of gut-brain interaction, like irritable bowel syndrome. Half the 96 participants will get real acupuncture, the other half a sham (fake) treatment, alongside standard care. Researchers will track pain levels, quality of life, and mental health over several weeks to see if acupuncture offers real relief.
