Mind over knee: new study tests if emotional support boosts ACL recovery
NCT ID NCT06991192
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether adding psychological support to standard exercise rehab helps people aged 15-21 recover from ACL reconstruction surgery. About 60 participants will be split into two groups: one gets extra emotional support from specially trained physical therapists, the other gets standard care. Neither group will know which they are in. The goal is to see if the extra support improves confidence and readiness to return to sports.
