First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a procedure called percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (PENS) can improve recovery after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery. Researchers will compare standard physical therapy alone to standard therapy plus PENS or a placebo version. The goal is to see if PENS helps increase muscle strength, reduce pain, and improve knee function in the 62 participants.
