First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding functional proprioceptive stimulations (FPS) to continuous passive movement (CPM) therapy helps people recover knee movement and reduce pain after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Twenty-four adults who had ACL surgery participated in a 2-week rehab program, attending sessions five days a week. Researchers compared those who received FPS plus CPM to those who received CPM alone to see which group regained more knee mobility and used less pain medication.
