Walking study probes tendon changes in stroke and spinal injury patients
NCT ID NCT07467382
First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at how the Achilles tendon behaves during walking in people with spastic paresis (muscle stiffness) caused by stroke or spinal cord injury. Researchers will measure tendon stiffness, length, and volume, as well as calf muscle strength, using ultrasound and force sensors. The goal is to better understand these changes, not to provide a treatment. About 60 adults will take part.
