Neck surgery showdown: which implant fuses better?
NCT ID NCT04388332
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at two ways to fix a damaged disc in the neck: using a bone graft with a metal plate or a special titanium cage. Researchers will check how well the bones fuse together and track any problems. About 60 adults with degenerative disc disease will take part, and the goal is to see which method works better.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help surgeons choose the better implant for neck fusion surgery, potentially improving recovery and reducing complications.
What could go wrong
