5,000+ patients enrolled in spine device safety study
NCT ID NCT06226272
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is following over 5,200 people who have had or will have spine surgery using Stryker devices, such as spinal fusion or deformity correction. The goal is to see how well these devices improve pain and function, and to track any side effects or complications. Participants are being observed before and after surgery to measure changes in neck or back disability and quality of life.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Spinal fusion and deformity correction devices
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could confirm that Stryker spine devices are safe and effective for treating degenerative disc disease and scoliosis, helping guide surgical choices.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a controlled trial, so it cannot prove cause and effect. Results may not apply to all patients, and surgery always carries risks like infection or device failure.
