New combo offers CLL patients a chance for drug-free holidays

NCT ID NCT04505254

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving two drugs—acalabrutinib and obinutuzumab—in cycles can control chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and allow patients to stop treatment for periods of time. About 60 adults with untreated CLL who need therapy will receive the combination. The goal is to see if the cancer stays under control even during drug breaks.
