New drug tested to fight back against stubborn breast cancer

NCT ID NCT03979508

Summary

This study tested if a drug called abemaciclib could help control a hard-to-treat type of breast cancer that did not fully respond to standard chemotherapy. It involved 26 women whose cancer could still be surgically removed. The goal was to see if taking the drug for a short period before surgery could change the tumor's environment to make it less aggressive.
