5 days instead of weeks: new hope for faster breast cancer treatment

Summary
This study is testing a much shorter radiation schedule for people with early-stage breast cancer. Instead of treatments over several weeks, participants receive radiation to the whole breast and the surgical area at the same time, completed in just 5 daily sessions. The main goal is to see if this approach is as effective at preventing cancer from returning while also improving how the breast looks and feels after treatment.
