3D colonoscopy may sharpen cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07619248

First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares a new 3D colonoscopy with the standard 2D version to see which more accurately identifies polyps that could become colorectal cancer. About 600 adults undergoing colonoscopy will have their polyps examined with both methods, and the results will be checked against lab tests. The goal is to improve early detection and avoid unnecessary procedures.
