New drug aims to quiet inflamed arteries in heart patients

Summary
This study tests whether ziltivekimab, an anti-inflammatory drug, can reduce inflammation in the artery walls of people with heart disease. About 40 adults aged 50 and older with multiple blocked arteries and high inflammation levels will receive either the drug or a placebo. Researchers will use advanced imaging and blood tests to measure changes in inflammation over time.
