Summary

This study tested whether a yogurt containing LG21 probiotics can clear H. pylori infection in children aged 4-6. 140 kids were split into two groups: one ate the yogurt daily for 12 weeks, the other got no treatment. The main goal was to see if the yogurt could turn a positive stool test negative, meaning the infection was gone.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
yogurt with LG21 probiotic
What this could lead to
If effective, this yogurt could offer a simple, non-antibiotic way to clear H. pylori infection in young children.
What could go wrong
This is a small, non-randomized trial with no blinding, so results may be unreliable. The yogurt may not work, and dietary supplements are not regulated like drugs.
