First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study compares two types of wrist fusion surgery for people with wrist arthritis caused by past injuries. 170 adults with stage II or III SLAC or SNAC wrist will be randomly assigned to have either a four-corner fusion or a three-corner fusion (which also removes a small bone). The goal is to see which surgery gives better grip strength and wrist movement over 12 months.
