Study probes why black professionals get less sleep

NCT ID NCT03389828

Summary

This study aimed to understand why Black professionals tend to get less and poorer quality sleep than their White counterparts, which contributes to health disparities. Researchers conducted focus groups with 263 employed Black and White adults in North Carolina and Washington, DC, discussing their workdays and sleep habits. The goal was to identify social and workplace factors that might explain these racial differences in sleep health.
