Summary
This study is testing whether whole-body electrical muscle stimulation (WB-EMS) can help adults with neuromuscular diseases like ALS, muscular dystrophy, and myasthenia gravis exercise safely. Because these conditions make normal exercise difficult, WB-EMS uses electrical pulses to directly contract muscles without requiring voluntary effort. Up to 50 participants will do 20-minute sessions 1-2 times per week for 4-8 weeks, and researchers will measure changes in muscle function, balance, fatigue, and quality of life.
