First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested whether virtual reality (VR) hand exercises could improve thinking and hand skills in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). 29 participants either did VR hand tasks (like virtual cooking) or traditional exercises (like puzzles) twice a week for six weeks. Researchers measured brain activity and hand dexterity before and after the program to see if VR offered extra benefits.
