First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether virtual reality (VR) hand exercises could improve thinking and hand skills in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. 29 participants either did VR hand games (like virtual cooking) or traditional puzzles and peg tests twice a week for six weeks. Researchers measured brain activity and hand dexterity before and after the program to see if the VR approach offered extra benefits.
