VR hand games may sharpen aging brains
NCT ID NCT07005271
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether doing hand exercises in a virtual reality (VR) environment could improve thinking skills and hand dexterity in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). 29 participants were split into two groups: one did VR-based hand activities (like virtual cooking and puzzles) twice a week for six weeks, while the other did traditional hand exercises. Researchers measured brain activity and hand function before and after the program to see if VR offered extra benefits.
