Summary

This study tests whether a daily pill called vonoprazan can reduce inflammation and improve swallowing in adults with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), a chronic allergic condition that damages the esophagus. About 80 participants will receive either vonoprazan or a placebo for 12 weeks, with an option to continue for another 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the drug lowers the number of immune cells in the esophagus to a safe level.
