First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study compared two surgical methods for removing the uterus due to non-cancerous conditions: vNOTES (surgery through the vagina) and standard laparoscopy (surgery through small belly cuts). 145 women were randomly assigned to one method. The main goal was to see if vNOTES caused similar or fewer complications like bleeding, infection, or organ injury. Pain and recovery were tracked for up to six months after surgery.
