Vitamin e boosts period pain relief in new study

NCT ID NCT07466342

First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tested whether taking vitamin E along with the painkiller mefenamic acid works better for period cramps than the painkiller alone. Sixty women aged 15-35 with painful periods were randomly assigned to one of two groups. Researchers measured pain levels before and after treatment to see if the combination offered more relief.
