Flash of war: brain scans reveal how veterans process combat images

Summary
This study looks at how U.S. combat veterans with PTSD react to very brief images of combat scenes. About 80 veterans and healthy volunteers will have their brains scanned while viewing these images and rating their fear. The goal is to understand brain activity and awareness, not to provide treatment.
