Experimental drug combo targets Hard-to-Treat cancers in patients with organ damage

Summary
This early-phase study tests the safety and best dose of the drug veliparib when given with standard chemotherapy (carboplatin and paclitaxel) in people with advanced solid tumors that also have liver or kidney problems. The goal is to find a safe dose and understand how the body processes the drugs. About 94 adults with cancers like lung, breast, or ovarian cancer that have spread or can't be surgically removed are taking part.
