Scientists probe Body's 'Wandering Nerve' in brain disorder patients

Summary
This study aims to understand how stimulating the vagus nerve affects the heart, blood pressure, immune system, and metabolism. It will enroll 144 adults who already have or will receive a vagus nerve stimulator for drug-resistant epilepsy or major depression. This is purely a research study to gather knowledge; participants will receive standard medical care for their condition, not experimental treatment.
