Sound waves to the rescue? ultrasound tested for early Alzheimer's symptoms
NCT ID NCT07298876
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive ultrasound treatment aimed at a deep brain area can help improve sleep quality and memory in older adults showing very early signs of Alzheimer's disease. Participants will receive either the real ultrasound treatment or a sham (fake) treatment over two weeks, and researchers will track changes in sleep, memory, and certain blood markers for up to 10 weeks. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe, feasible, and shows promise for managing these common early symptoms.
