Sound waves to the rescue? new brain stimulation tested for Alzheimer's warning signs

NCT ID NCT07298876

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive ultrasound treatment aimed at a deep brain area can help improve sleep quality and memory in older adults showing very early signs of Alzheimer's disease. Twenty participants with mild memory concerns and poor sleep will receive either the real ultrasound treatment or a sham (fake) treatment over two weeks. Researchers will check if the treatment is safe and if it leads to better sleep and cognitive test scores over a 10-week period.
