Summary
This study tests a new PET scan method that uses 10 to 100 times less radiation than current scans to detect Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. About 200 adults, including healthy volunteers and those with memory problems, will receive a standard radioactive tracer and be scanned with a high-sensitivity machine. The goal is to see if the new technique still produces clear images while being safer and more comfortable for patients.
